FAQ

Questions

How do same-day flowers work in Orlando?
Name the neighborhood or hotel first. Downtown, Lake Eola, International Drive, Lake Nona, and the airport hotel belt do not share one clock, and I-4 is the spine between them. Then name the recipient, the drop point, the window you need, and whether you want a wrapped bouquet or a standing arrangement. Add a card message if there is one. Send the form on this page or write sales@tabaconda.com. The window you write is the window we work against. The same-day guide is the long version of this answer.
What should I put in an inquiry?
Recipient name. Drop point with the neighborhood named. A house, an apartment, an office lobby, a hotel, or a venue. Window. Bouquet versus arrangement. Card message. Gate code, floor and suite, tower name, or front-desk notes when those are the difference. For a hotel, add the guest name as booked, the hotel name as booked, and the arrival date. Messages go to sales@tabaconda.com.
Can you hold flowers at a hotel front desk?
Yes. Most Orlando hotel drops land as a front-desk hold under the guest name. Write the hotel the way the reservation is spelled, the guest name as booked, and the arrival date. A room number alone is not a drop. If the confirmation names a tower or a building, copy that line. Convention weeks and park weeks fill desks; a clearly labeled hold is how the wrap is still there at check-in. The hotel-drop guide covers campus versus downtown versus the airport belt. The hotel-drop kit is the inquire card for those same facts. This site does not name a partner hotel.
What does Central Florida heat do to a bouquet?
Cut stems cook in a parked car. The National Weather Service explains the greenhouse physics on its children, pets, and vehicles page: a dark dashboard can reach 180 to over 200°F, and that heat warms the trapped air. The Houston NWS heat page notes that the temperature inside a vehicle can rise 20 degrees in as little as 10 minutes, and 50 degrees in an hour, even when the outdoor air is only in the 70s. Cracking a window does not fix it. Ask for shade, water, and a lobby hold. Do not plan a drop that waits in a lot off I-4 or International Drive.
What should the recipient do after the drop?
Recut the stems and put them in clean water the same day. Penn State Extension’s aftercare note: clean vase, florist packet of flower food, leaves off the water line, recut at an angle (under water if you can), change the water every few days, keep the arrangement cool and out of direct sun. Purdue Extension’s HO-158 adds recutting at least half an inch, recutting roses under water, a slant cut, and warm clean water so uptake starts quickly. A wrap left in paper on a nightstand after a Florida afternoon will not drink.
How do event stems work?
Event stems are ceremony, reception, or table work that need to be standing when a room opens. Write the venue, the standing time, low bowl versus tall vase, indoor or outdoor, and a table count if the work repeats. Outdoor Orlando heat makes shade part of the ask; a tall vase on an uncovered patio is a different object than a low bowl under a canopy. Name a person on site who can take the drop. The hotel-drop guide and the bouquets page both cover this family.
Do you publish a cutoff hour or prices?
This site does not publish a cutoff hour, a price list, SKUs, or a street address. Write the window you need and the neighborhood. Same-day still depends on routing and heat. Messages go to sales@tabaconda.com.
How do I inquire?
Use the form on this page. Messages go to sales@tabaconda.com. Name the neighborhood or hotel in the first sentence. Publisher: Orlando Flower Drop and Tabaconda LLC.
